Couples Therapy

I chose this photo to represent the magnitude of how important couples therapy is for a relationship. This giant sequoia, in California’s King’s Canyon National Park, was awesome, it reminds me of the tremendous courage it takes for a couple to come to  couples therapy.

I liked this article below a lot because it highlights the fact that if couples therapy is successful, it helps to move the couple toward health, to become more focused on being successful partners, and to stay focused on change. The old attitude that if a couple came into couples therapy it means that they are in trouble, is incorrect, as many come in because they want to maximize their relationships. Yes, some do come in with relationships in distress but many also come in to optimize their relationship. Times are changing 🙂
